4 Tips to Save Money on your Remodel

Let's be honest, remodeling can be EXPENSIVE and, often times, the worst decision a homeowner can make is, going with the cheapest contractor to handle an important project.
THERE IS A BETTER WAY!
Today, we're going to discuss 4 simple tips to save money on a remodel, without sacrificing using a high quality contractor

1. Affordable Flooring

Yes, we know it is tempting to go with tile or hardwood flooring. It's what we were used to seeing growing up and many people have a misconception that vinyl is ugly and flimsy. This couldn't be further from the truth. Today, there are plenty of beautiful luxury vinyl plank and luxury vinyl tile options. Not only do they look good, but you can get waterproof and scratch resistant options, and they will typically save you 50% to 66% on material and installation costs.

2. Save your Cabinetry

Everybody knows kitchen remodels can have a huge price tag, but many don't know the most substantial part of that price tag is the cabinetry. A full cabinet set has an average price point in the 5 figure range, and now that you know that, I'm sure you'll find it as no surprise that refacing or painting you're cabinetry can save you a small fortune vs replacing them. In many cases, you could save as much as 75%!.

3. Solid Surface Countertops

It IS possible to get that beautiful granite/quartz look while saving money. Enter, Solid Surface. Solid surface options are composed of man made materials, such as natural minerals, and a higher resin percentage than their granite and quartz counterparts. There are many reputable brands competing to create the most beloved solid surface options for homeowners across the world. It's a great idea to see what they have to offer and save roughly 25% if the search proves fruitful.

4. Consider Demolition and Painting

Obviously, every prospect of remodeling is best left to the pros. However, certain items are a higher risk to the finished project than others. 2 relatively low risk items to the project outcome are demolition and paint. If you are able bodied and have reasonable knowledge towards tackling these tasks, it's an easy way to save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.
