Kitchen Remodel Photo Gallery
This kitchen remodel in a 1928 balloon-framed home in Akron, Ohio involved extensive structural work, including the removal of load-bearing walls, plumbing relocation, and a full electrical update. Real hardwood flooring was used to preserve the home’s historic character, while custom-replicated multi-level crown molding stands as a defining feature of the space. Sage Yorktowne cabinetry, butcher block countertops, a copper farmhouse sink paired with a bridge faucet, and integrated bench seating beneath the window transform what was once a tight, congested kitchen into a large, earthy, and traditionally styled gathering space. Carefully selected pendant and sconce lighting, in place of recessed fixtures, reinforces the home’s original architectural feel.
